Yes, I am learning to fly a helicopter as part of our freshSPRING's work for freshHOPE. There's a lot more behind why but basically it is to be available for mission/ disaster-relief/ medical work in the future.
There are a number of things to consider when learning to fly, not least the cost. Fortunately I was able to do so in South Africa (yippee!!).
You'd never believe it but I used to be scared of heights, now I'm just healthily scared of killing myself inadvertently :)
I've still got a few more hours to go here in the UK to finally get my license but nearly there.
