- Fixed various parts of the AIM-Uganda guesthouse at various stages!
- Helping to supervise some building jobs at the Martin's house
- Replaced mosquito nets on house in Kagando
- Created AIM-Uganda web site
- Along with two other volunteers, we held a camp for 10+ Africanized children (i.e. they did much more crazy stuff than usual) while their parents were having their annual conference. All this in Arusha, Tanzania.
- Looked at far too many laptops (taking them apart and all that) ... I even had one which was infested with ants! This occurred just about anywhere I went
- Installed a lighting and electrical system (and generator) in St. Paul's Ringili Theological college
Teaching the staff at Ringili how to use their new computer (a Mac, of which there are very few in Africa) - Teaching and writing computer lessons for Kuluva Hospital
- Doing administration work, and computerizing medical statistics (to drastically save work time)
- Built a water tank
- Building steps and other things from concrete
- Working with children, just about anywhere I went. Most especially by teaching Sunday school at the local church in Arua to about 50 pupils (a small class) on the Sundays that I was in Arua.
- A million other odd-jobs: helping move the solar panels of the local Christian radio station, purchasing bits and bobs all over, playing with radios and antennas, dealing with children, cars, small wooden jobs like tables and shelves, you name it!
Here's a small list of some of the things I actually did in terms of work in Uganda, other than meeting people and having a great time. Ok, I enjoyed my work thoroughly too, and this should give you an idea of the range:
