Though I was not working in the mission field of Africa, I was still a missionary. I am an emissary of God, and His work can be done in all manners of places. As with all missionaries, financial and prayer support is needed so that they can continue to do the work that God has called them to.
Praise be To God that I have been fully funded for my entire time here in Pearl River, and I will have a surplus to leave for the support of other volunteers. This is great news, and God is so resourceful in prompting people to give. He raised my support in less than about 3 months, and it gave me a great opportunity to wait on Him and to trust in Him for all that I need.
