Our Faith in God

We can't express to you how much God means to us, but we definitely want you to know that it's possible to know the God who made the universe and have a meaningful relationship with Him.

We have no intention to convert you by reading this page, but just to say that there is something most definitely amazing that God cares about each of us personally and wants to be intimately involved in our lives, closer than any friend, family member or partner.

What is it all about?

It's not because of anything we've done - quite the opposite - He just loves us unconditionally, no matter what we've done. Sin separates us from God, from murder to just lying once, but the good news is Jesus paid the price for all that, past, present and future. The price is 'death', not in the sense we all have to die physically but permanent separation from God and all good things He created. The difference with Jesus, God as a man, dying rather than us is that He was pure and blameless. His choice to take our place paid for everything, but just as important, He could come back to life (be 'resurrected') because He was blameless - effectively defeating that permanent separation from God.

So what does this all mean? Well, we've accepting Christ as who He was - the person who paid for all our sin - accepting His free gift of eternal life in Heaven, asked Him for forgiveness of our sin, and said we want to become more like Him. Being a Christian is not about helping Granny's across the street but is about turning your life on its head and living day by day with Jesus - the definition of love - beside and leading you all the way.

You can know Him personally, talking to Him in prayer and finding answers to your questions through His Word (the bible), daily situations turning out a certain way and people around you. It's exciting, different and challenging, and not to mention tough. However all of that is focussed on looking ahead to the wonderful day when we'll finally meet Him face-to-face. Everyone will get to meet Him, it's just the question of whether you've accepted His free gift and acknowledge Him as God.

Most importantly, know God always loves you and won't love you any more or less. To know God you simply have to believe in Jesus, His son. Good deeds don't get you into heaven, accepting His free gift of love does.

Check what we're saying about God & Jesus by looking in a bible.

You could start with these verses (written as 'book name, chapter, verse'):

Who has sinned? Romans 2:23
What is the result of sin? Isaiah 59:3 also Romans 6:26
What happens when you die? Hebrews 9:27
What is one way you will never be saved? Ephesians 2:8-9
What has Jesus done for you? Romans 5:10
What does God command you to do? Acts 17:30
How do you become a child of God? John 1:12 also Romans 10:13
Where is Jesus right now? What is he doing? Revelation 3:20

TIP: try the New International Version (NIV) rather than the 'olde English' King James - it's just easier to read.

Want to know more?

The best place to go is a friend who is a Christian that you trust. They can point you in the right direction. You could also try a church, though beware that sadly some are more interested in tradition than talking about a living relationship with Jesus/ God.

And of course you can always contact us. We promise you that it is worth looking into and you won't regret it.
