I’ve just found out that my re-application for a student pilot license was in a truck that got hi-jacked on its way to Jo’burg from Durban.
Half of me is going ‘how cool’ (hoping the driver is ok), the other half wondering whether it’ll be found (all trucks have lojack tracking systems) and how long that’ll delay things.
It could be up to a week if I have to re-apply which would quite seriously delay my flying at the moment, but that’s just the way things go sometimes!
